Welcome to Mother Tree...my name is Monica. I come from a Portuguese lineage and walk with the medicine of Womb Healing,  Sacred Plant & Amphibian allys, Grandfather Tobacco and Ceremonial Somatic Bodywork.

For over 15 years, my work has been shaped by many profound practices, from Yoga to Shamanic Journey's,  but the greatest teacher has been sitting with my grief. The loss of my youngest sibling became an initiation that cracked me open and reoriented my life toward embodied prayer, reverence, and remembrance.

I’ve lived the grind of chasing numbers, sales, and the latest designer bag. I’ve walked through the fires of abuse, assault, divorce, addiction, betrayal, death, and rock bottom. I have taught yoga, held ceremonial spaces, somatic healing, studied feminine gnosis and earth-based wisdom, and walked alongside plant and jungle medicine traditions.  Each layer deepening my understanding of what it means to live in relationship with the body, lineage, and living world.

What I offer is not a method to fix yourself, but an invitation to return to the intelligence of your body, your lineage, and the quiet medicine already moving through you.

Through these thresholds, I came to understand that healing is not something we achieve, but something we allow,  by listening, softening, and returning home.

I believe that we all carry medicine....that YOU are the medicine. The wisdom you seek already lives in your tissues, your breath, and your bones. My role is not to  help you drink the medicine you carry and to create paths where your own knowing can rise to the surface.

My work is an invitation to reclaim your wholeness, to feel the sacred moving through the everyday, and to return to a life guided by trust, devotion, and embodied truth.....spinkled in with a bit of play ;)
